Hot Zone Specialist Joins the Team

Mark Hughes has joined the engineering staff at Solar Manufacturing’s Furnace Division in Telford, PA. Mark has over 24 years of vacuum experience and has spent the last 13 years as a hot zone designer. “Mark’s primary duties will include the mechanical design of vacuum systems, with special focus on hot zone concepts,” says Brian (Shoe) Shoemaker, chief mechanical engineer. “Mark will be a great asset in enabling Solar to develop and produce the best quality vacuum processing equipment in the industry.”

Mark has an associate degree in architectural engineering from Norwalk State Technical College in Connecticut and now lives in Horsham, PA.
