Solar Atmospheres Manufacturing, Inc. names Robert Wilson as senior mechanical engineer. Wilson is responsible for all facets of vacuum furnace design with a focus on quenching processes.
“Bob brings a wealth of knowledge about mechanical engineering to our business. His addition is an asset to our engineering team,” said Jim Nagy, president, Solar Atmospheres Manufacturing, Inc.
Previously he was a senior mechanical engineer for Johnson Matthey; a senior mechanical engineer with The National Drying Machinery Company; and a senior mechanical engineer with Abar Ipsen Corporation.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Drexel University. He is a candidate for a Master’s Degree in chemical engineering.
Wilson has received recognition and awards for “Do Patents Count? If so …” and was named co-inventor on Modine Manufacturing Company/Johnson Matthey Plc Joint Inventorship U.S. patent for a “Reformate Cooling System for Use in a Fuel Processing Subsystem”; as well as named co-inventor on Abar Corporation U.S. patent for a “Diffusion Bonding Furnace Having a Novel Press Arrangement” used in the production of Pratt & Whitney aircraft engine compressor blades. He is a member of ASM and ASME.
