Solar Manufacturing Receives Order for Replacement Hot Zone

Solar Manufacturing of Souderton, PA has received an order for a complete replacement hot zone for a Vacuum Furnace Systems (VFS) model HL-26RE from Electron Energy in Landisville, PA.

The hot zone will consist of a .040″ thick FlexShield hot face backed by four (4) layers of graphite felt insulation and will replace an all metallic design with molybdenum elements.

Improvements include:

  • Energy efficiency of more then 55%.
  • High velocity graphite gas nozzles for improved cooling and reduced cycles.
  • Durable graphite curved elements replace the molybdenum.

The hot zone is scheduled for delivery in January 2006.
