Vacuum Gas Nitriding Furnaces

Vacuum Gas Nitriding Furnaces

Vacuum gas nitriding significantly increases the fatigue strength and service life of ferrous-based parts.  Benefits include case depths up to 0.025” and improved wear and anti-galling properties due to a 40 – 70% increase in surface hardness. Corrosion resistance is increased through nitrogen-enrichment of the alloy.  A controlled low processing temperature of 700 – 1200°F preserves the mechanical properties of the base material and minimizes distortion of the finished parts.

The Solar Manufacturing Model HFL-3648-LT is a batch type, horizontal front loading vacuum gas nitriding furnace with electrical resistance heating elements and gas quenching capabilities designed for commercial and captive heat treating shops.  Designed for heat treating, brazing, stress relieving, annealing, tempering, and vacuum gas nitriding.
